The N-2B is the hooded cold weather flying jacket that came in when nylon replaced leather and shearling in flight gear — lighter, warmer, and quicker to dry out. Short body, deep hood, and not one detail on it that is decorative.

Two-way zip so it does not ride up when you sit. Storm flap over the zip. Knitted cuffs and waistband to seal the draughts. Slanted hand pockets set high enough to reach with a harness on. Fur trim around the hood opening to stop the edge icing over.

100% nylon shell with a synthetic fur-trimmed hood.

Fit — cut to go over a flight suit, so it runs generous. Size down for a closer fit.
